Why did the client approach us?
The client decided to move development for his retail insurance back-end systems to Eastern Europe ("near-shore") to free local resources for other projects. He asked us to analyze the local staff distribution in terms of skill and seniority.

How did we address the challenge?
We identified benchmarks for the skills distribution of local vs. near-shore projects. Based on the long-term project portfolio, we identified the need for skills and formulated the target skill distribution. We deduced its implications on staff development and training, as well as the recruiting strategy.

Why was it interesting and enjoyable?
Designing efficient organizational structures that can deliver IT products and services provides an overall understanding of entire organizations and how they achieve their goals.
